HTML/CGI example

Regular HTML pages are 'static'. This means that their content is fixed at design time. The @CHIP RTOS running on the IPC@CHIP® offers a method for producing pages with a dynamic content: CGI pages. These are functions written in C that are registered at the @CHIP RTOS' web-server.

All other techniques such as Java Applets and Flash use CGI handlers to retrieve up to date information. How this information is used to change the appearance in the browser depends on the Java Applet resp. the Flash movie.
